Laurie Harden winter art demonstration

Livingston Arts Association presents its next winter art demonstration. Laurie Harden will be giving an oil painting demonstration, sponsored by the Livingston Arts Association, of a technique she has developed and calls ”Drip Locks.” It is a process of dripping strands of loose oil paint down a white canvas to form dreadlocks. She then paints a face amidst the drip locks so that they form the hair of the portrait.

Ms. Harden is a fine artist and art instructor from Boonton. She teaches Drawing, Painting and Pastels through the Livingston Arts Association, the Morris County Art Association and Speakeasy Arts.

The painting demonstration will be held at the Livingston Senior/Community Center, 204 Hillside Ave., on Sunday, March 3, from 2 to 4 pm. All are welcome, and refreshments will be served.

Livingston Arts Association, Inc., is dedicated to providing art classes, to giving members the opportunity to display works in shows, and to providing demonstrations and critiques from professional artists as well as providing scholarships to Livingston High School Seniors. Artists of all levels are welcome to participate in all our events.
