PRESS RELEASE - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Livingston Arts Association is proud to present Kat Block who will demonstrate mixed collage on Sunday, December 3, 2023, from 2 to 4 p.m., at the Senior/Community Center, 204 Hillside Avenue, Livingston, NJ. This one of the six free demonstrations that Livingston Arts Association offers to the community each year.

Kat Block has been a career artist and art instructor for over thirty years. She has had many solo shows and participated in many group shows. She has won numerous awards.

She has illustrated two children’s books and a YouTube video. She designed the posters for the Union County Jazzfest. Her work was featured in the 2010 release “Remember Me” starring Pierce Bronson and Robert Pattison.

Kat has been on the faculty of the Visual Arts Center in Summit for 26 years. She has taught at the duCret Art Center, the Passic Ar Center, and teen Arts NJ, to name a few.

Kat conducts workshops and demonstrations throughout the state. Her most recognized works are mixed collage that are twisty on reality (in a good way). They combine various paper, watercolor, photography and drawing. They are complex and densely textured, however, because of their meticulous organization they manage to be serene.

Livingston Arts Association, Inc., is dedicated to providing classes, sponsoring exhibitions in which members display their work, hosting demonstrations and critiques by professional artists, and awarding scholarships to Livingston High School seniors. Artists of all levels are welcome to participate in all events.

This event is free and open to the public. Invite your friends. Refreshments will be served. We look forward to seeing you.
