Livingston Arts Association is proud to present award-winning artist Isabella Pizzano, who will be demonstrating abstract techniques in acrylic. This event will take place on Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m., at the Senior/Community Center, 204 Hillside Avenue, Livingston, NJ.
Isabella Pizzano uses an intuitive approach following her natural instincts, which can take her work in unexpected directions. She works in a variety of media, including water media, inks, and collages. Her abstract paintings allow the viewer to overcome the brain’s natural desire to identify an object. They elicit a deeply emotional response and allow the viewer to glimpse inside the creative mind of the artist, while allowing a personal interpretation of the experience. As an experimental artist, her goal is to explore uncharted territory and take risks. This type of painting affords the art-lover a pure and unlimited adventure trip.
Isabella works with water media with the addition of gesso, inks, and the introduction of textured collage items to add interest and excitement. She uses avant-garde techniques and the innovative use of color and design.
Isabella is an Italian-born artist who began her training in Rome. She graduated from the Rome, Italy Art Institute, majoring in clay sculpture. She continued her education in the US training under 22 well-known painters and groundbreaking experimental artists, including John Salminen, Maryann Beckwith, and Pat Dews. She taught and joined the board at the International Society of Experimental Artists.
Livingston Arts Association, Inc., is dedicated to providing classes, sponsoring exhibitions in which members display their work, hosting demonstrations and critiques by professional artists, and awarding scholarships to Livingston High School seniors. We would like to continue to offer these events for free to everyone. However we need to face reality. Costs for hosting these events including the hiring of demonstrators and models as well as refreshments have increased so we will be having a donation box available to help defer some of those costs.
